This special interest group for solo practitioners and freelancers won’t add another boring meeting to your schedule, but will offer a fun, laid-back forum to share ideas, needs, vendors and resources, as well as help create or expand your personal network. Held over the lunch hour, the only cost is your personal lunch, as local speakers will touch on topics that directly affect you and your business, with locations rotating between the Plaza or in South Overland Park.

Don’t miss our next Solo Pros Luncheon Meeting, featuring Shea Stevens from The Law Offices of Shea Steves, LLC. Stevens will fill us in on how to protect your practice from a legal standpoint, and will focus on contracts.

Originally from Pratt, Kan., Shea Stevens attended Kansas State University and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa School of Law. In 2004 she began practicing law in the Kansas City metro, focusing on business contracts and mergers with Sprint Nextel and with corporate compliance with Novastar Mortgage. In 2008 she shifted her attention to family law and established The Law Office of Shea Stevens, LLC. Today, her practice focuses primarily in the area of matrimonial law, however, Stevens uses her corporate law experience and advises clients in the areas of simple wills, contracts and simple business entity formation. She is a member of The Missouri Bar, The Kansas Bar and The Johnson County Kansas Bar Association, and Kansas Women’s Attorney Association
