“Communicate Your Brand: The Unique Story of Chick-fil-A”

The Greater Kansas City PRSA Chapter is proud to welcome Chick-fil-A President and COO Dan T. Cathy to Kansas City. Mr. Cathy will present an inside look at one of the most respected brands around, and a company who sees the value of business communications. In addition, you also will have the opportunity to network with fellow public relations and communications professionals, with delicious food provided by Chick-fil-A.

As president of one of the nation’s largest family owned businesses, Chick-fil-A’s Dan Cathy represents the next generation of leadership for the Atlanta-based quick-service chicken restaurant chain founded by his father, S. Truett Cathy. Since 2001, Dan has served in his current role with the 1,395-plus unit chain. He challenges himself with upholding Chick-fil-A’s efforts to provide genuine, heartfelt hospitality, and ensures that customers chain wide have an exceptional dining experience when visiting a Chick-fil-A restaurant. In his quest to provide customers with “second-mile” service, Dan has defined a special role for himself - humbly saying, “I work in customer service.”

Cathy chooses to spend the majority of his time traveling to the chain’s growing family of restaurants, which includes participating in grand-opening ceremonies for new locations. Often, he will spend the night in restaurant parking lots along with hundreds of customers who are vying for a chance to win free Chick-fil-A for a year as part of a special customer-focused promotion the chain conducts in conjunction with new restaurant openings.

Private reception for our Senior Pros, which will include networking, Chick-fil-A and appetizers with Mr. Dan Cathy outside of the Truman Forum Auditorium.
5:45 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.: Short presentation by Chick-fil-A President and COO Dan Cathy, followed by one-on-one, Q&A session.

The Value of Business Communications inside the Truman Forum Auditorium. (Note: Guests will be allowed into the auditorium at 6:20 p.m.)

$35 for nonmembers
