Women in PR and the C-Suite: How it’s done, why it’s important, and what you can do to get there

Making sure public relations’ voice is heard at the executive level in your organization takes skill, strategy and perseverance, and it can be especially challenging for women in our field.

Hear from our chapter’s PR Pro of the Year, Laurie Roberts, President of Parris Communications, on how her career has taken her from TV anchor to agency executive and the lessons she’s learned along the way to succeed.  She’ll then join a panel made up of Kansas City women leaders (all of whom are PRSA members) who will share their journeys, challenges and advice for earning your seat at the table as a communications professional.

This is our last professional development luncheon of the year – and it’s one you won’t want to miss!

Speaker: Laurie Roberts, President, Parris Communications, Roger Yarrington Public Relations Professional of the Year Award

Panel:
Suze Parker, APR, Parker Communications Group

Jean Peat, APR, UMKC Foundation

Barb Pruitt, APR, Pruitt Communications

Lydia Steinberg, HNTB
